Learning to be a scientist

We have been having lots of fun learning about the processes a scientist goes through to explore the world around them. We have learnt some new words, like apparatus, aim, hypothesis and variables - come and ask us what they mean.
We tested balloons to see which material causes most static when rubbed against it. The results were 'hair-raising!'.
Next we explored which liquids are most viscous (thick) by timing how long it takes an object to sink to the bottom of a test tube. The honey took a long time - we left it over night to see if it would reach the bottom. Ask us what we found out.
