OUR FIRST FLAT STANLEY PHOTOS

In Room 3, we have been reading a book called Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. It is about a boy who wakes up one morning and is flat. He gets to do lots of fun things one of which is going overseas, but not on a plane, in an envelope - which is much cheaper!
We decided to make some of our own Stanley characters and send them overseas to people we knew. Here are our first responses, showing Mia's Stanley in Longholm, Scotland and Ava's in Arrowtown. We can't wait to see where the others travel to. Come into class to see our great display showing his travels around the world.

FORCES AND FACES

We have been having lots of fun this week, testing helicopters to see which length of blades flies for longest and defies gravity. We have also been making silhouette pictures. Take a look and see if you can spot who is who.

CONGRATULATIONS

Room 3 kids are awesome. They work hard in class and have many successes, but are also champions outside of school. Take a look at all these awards for dancing! I think she needs more hands to hold them all! Great job - very proud of you.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU

In Room 3 we have been learning all about Forces. We have found out that motion is caused by a PULL a PUSH or a TWIST. We explored these and took some pictures to show what we found out.

A Journey Through Time

We have had a great first week of 2017. Today as part of our introduction to our Inquiry the children had a chance to dress up in Victorian clothes, experience the horrors of a Victorian classroom and have fun doing some traditional dances.
Lots of fun and lots of good learning. Take a look.
