WEEK 1

We have had a great first week, despite the yak weather.
Science Fair has been lots of fun, with Room 3 and 7 working together.
In maths we have been exploring 2d and 3d shapes and learning new vocabulary like parallel, perpendicular, trapezium and equilateral.
We had 7 children from Room 3 attend the EPRO8 tech challenge for all Oamaru schools. They all did a great job, but 4 of the kids managed to achieve 3rd place overall, which is a huge achievement.
Tomorrow is our ice skating day, so look out for more great photos next week.

WELCOME TO TERM 3

Hi all and welcome to term 3. I hope everyone had a great holiday and managed to stay dry and warm, especially over the last few days, with all the flooding. This term will be an exciting one with Science Fair, Talent quest, Cross country, gymnastics, music, skating trip and kicking off the week with our EPro8 tech challenge for the 2 Y5/6 teams and 1 Y7/8 team. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday and catching up on all the holiday news.
